APPEARANCE.
Rachel is a Persian woman with olive skin free of any tattoos or markings. Her eyes are a dark brown and her hair is a deep chocolate with natural highlights throughout. She stands at 5’4”, but sometimes wears high heels that make her appear taller than she actually is. Her style is fashionable, but not outlandish. The clothes that she wears are modest without being prudish. She’ll have her skirts shortened to a fashionable length, but will never overdo it.
PERSONALITY.
It's unavoidable that Rachel’s ability has affected her personality. Having such heightened senses has shut Rachel off from the world in a way, making her a little shyer and more awkward than most women. It’s difficult for her to maneuver in a world when she’s basically an exposed nerve, experiencing everything more intensely than everyone around her.
Getting close to other people is also difficult for Rachel. She finds it easier to get close to individuals with special abilities because they understand her situation more easily, but she will never rule out a friendship or romantic relationship with other people who do not possess such gifts.
Speaking of romantic relationships, they’re nearly impossible for Rachel. This is mainly on account of her sense of touch. Since it is so heightened, she can get aroused with a simple kiss. A really intimate kiss can send her over the edge. She doesn't like to lose control and feels embarrassed when it happens, so naturally she tries to avoid it.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES.
Before working for the DCIS, Rachel was a skilled linguist for the CIA. She speaks fluent Farsi and English. Her enhanced senses allow her to see on a microscopic level, identify chemical compounds with taste and smell, hear things from rooms away, and feel things much more intensely than anyone else.

The meeting had been set. Rachel hadn’t been the one to contact Peter, it had been someone else within the FBI, but she had been the one sent to meet with him. She was widely considered to be one of the more personable people working on the team of Alphas. Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. It was for that reason that her boss, Dr. Rosen, had wanted to send someone with her, someone slightly more forceful, but Rachel had insisted that she could handle the meeting on her own. Perhaps it would be a step towards becoming a more assertive individual.

She sat at a very public cafe on the outdoor veranda. Meetings often took place in public because dealing with other enhanced humans sometimes proved dangerous. People had used their abilities before, lashed out at team members, and people had wound up hurt. A public setting gave the aura of safety, like getting hurt was less likely if the people meeting had dozens of pairs of eyes on them. From Peter Petrelli’s file, though, Rachel had surmised that this meeting would be far from dangerous. The man just didn’t seem like the volatile type to her.

Unfolding the lunch menu, Rachel kept switching between watching the sidewalk for Peter and reading the lunch items the cafe had to offer. He should have been showing up at any moment.
