It's unavoidable that Rachel’s ability has affected her personality. Having such heightened senses has shut Rachel off from the world in a way, making her a little shyer and more awkward than most women. It’s difficult for her to maneuver in a world when she’s basically an exposed nerve, experiencing everything more intensely than everyone around her.
Getting close to other people is also difficult for Rachel. She finds it easier to get close to individuals with special abilities because they understand her situation more easily, but she will never rule out a friendship or romantic relationship with other people who do not possess such gifts.
Speaking of romantic relationships, they’re nearly impossible for Rachel. This is mainly on account of her sense of touch. Since it is so heightened, she can get aroused with a simple kiss.
